Everything is a file is an old Unix adage, and as a logical consequence, many thousands of files populate today’s systems, making it difficult to find the files you need. If you are looking for an office document or an image file, the Beagle desktop search engine is an excellent choice, as it understands various document formats and can evaluate Exif information.
