Version 1.9.5 of Codestriker, a Web application that supports code reviewing by geographically distributed teams of developers has just been released. The new version offers sophisticated syntax highlighting.
After some turbulence concerning the status of the foundation and many delays, the free Gentoo project has revamped its Linux distribution and released version 2008.0.
The free Samba project has just released version 3.2 of the file and printer server for Microsoft Windows clients. The team will be moving to the GPL v3 license as of this version.
Jono Bacon recently announced that the LugRadio Live UK show will be the final show. In his announcement, Jono said, "I am massively proud of what we have managed to achieve. Hardware manufacturer HP has released the source code for its Advanced File System (AdvFS), which it uses for the Tru64 Unix OS under the GPL, along with a Linux reference implementation.
